The Output tab of the Better Search settings page lets you fine-tune how search results are displayed and styled.
Display options
These settings customize the output of the search results page. Except for the highlight setting, these only apply when Seamless mode is off.
Highlight search terms
If enabled, search terms are wrapped with the class bsearch_highlight on the search results page.
Highlight followed links
If enabled, highlights search terms on posts/pages when visited from the search results page.
Display thumbnail
Show post thumbnails in search results.
Display relevance
Show the relevance score for each result.
Display post type
Show the post type for each result.
Display author
Show the author for each result.
Display date
Show the date for each result.
Display taxonomies
Show taxonomies for each result.
Length of excerpt (in words)
Set the length of post excerpts shown in search results.
Style options
Include inbuilt styles
Uncheck this to disable this plugin from adding the inbuilt styles. You will need to add your own CSS styles if you disable this option
Custom CSS
You can add your own CSS here to style the output. Do not include style tags. The plugin will not fix your CSS code, so please ensure you include accurate code only.
